The Christian Volunteers began at the University of Tennessee in the fall of 1997, as a ministry of the Temple Baptist Church of Powell, TN.  Since that time, more than 400 students and professors have come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior. 
     Many students have been actively involved in weekly Bible studies, prayer meetings and church services. There are also fun activities such as bowling, ice skating, hiking, and much more!
